Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant with deep domain expertise to perform a comparative product analysis between SAP PM and an existing application. The consultant will identify functional and operational gaps, evaluate the feasibility and business value of migrating to SAP PM, and provide strategic recommendations to the client.
Our client is a leading utility firm in the gas sector, requiring a strong industry-focused approach to asset and maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis of the client’s existing maintenance application and its workflows.
Juxtapose the application’s capabilities against SAP Plant Maintenance features, functionalities, and integration potential.
Identify functional, operational, and integration gaps between the two systems.
Evaluate migration feasibility, cost-benefit, and potential ROI of transitioning to SAP PM.
Provide strategic advisory on the way forward – including recommendations on whether migration is worth the investment and effort.
Collaborate with client stakeholders, technical teams, and business users to validate findings and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
Deliver comprehensive documentation of gap analysis, findings, and proposed roadmap.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (configuration, implementation, and advisory).
Strong expertise in Gas/Utilities sector asset management and maintenance processes.
Proven track record of conducting system comparisons, fit-gap analysis, and migration assessments.
Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Prior experience in onsite client-facing roles is preferred.
